1. How GrantAi Works
GrantAi is fundamentally different from cloud-based AI memory services. The software installs on your machine and creates a local encrypted database. All processing — embedding generation, semantic search, memory retrieval — happens on your device.
Local Architecture Means:
• Your data is encrypted with AES-256 on your device
• Encryption keys are device-bound and never transmitted
• No cloud sync, no backup servers, no data replication
• If you delete your data directory, it's gone — we can't recover it
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you sign up or purchase a license:
Email address
Payment method (processed by Stripe — we never see full card numbers)
Transaction history
2.2 License Activation
During one-time activation per device:
License key — validates your subscription
Device hash — a one-way hash for device limit enforcement (we cannot reverse this to identify your hardware)
Software version — ensures compatibility
2.3 Usage Statistics
Approximately every 100 queries, the software sends aggregated counts for your dashboard:
Query count (number only, never content)
Tokens retrieved (for savings calculations)
Document count
Timestamp
We Never Collect
Query content, memory contents, document text, file names, file paths, search results, AI responses, or any user-generated content.
3. How We Use Your Information
License validation — verify subscription status
Device limits — enforce per-plan device limits
Dashboard — display your usage statistics
Billing — process payments and send receipts
Support — respond to your inquiries
Updates — notify you of security or product updates
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share limited information only with:
Stripe — payment processing
Vercel — website and API hosting
Cloudflare — download delivery
We may disclose information if required by law. However, due to our local-only architecture, we typically have no user content to disclose.
5. Security
Local encryption: AES-256 for your database and model files
Device-bound keys: Encryption keys tied to your specific device
Network: All communication over TLS 1.3
No cloud storage: Your data exists only on your device
You are responsible for securing your device and maintaining backups of your data directory.
6. Data Retention
Local data: Retained until you delete it — we have no access
Account data: Deleted within 30 days of cancellation
Billing records: Retained 7 years for tax compliance

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account information by contacting support@solonai.com.
Note: We cannot access, modify, or delete your local data (memories, documents) — it exists only on your device.
8. California & European Users
CCPA: We do not sell personal information. California residents may contact us for data requests.
GDPR: EEA users have rights to access, rectification, erasure, and portability. Our legal basis is contract performance.
9. Policy Changes
We may update this policy and will notify you of material changes via email. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
